Cloudparking and Energy Harvesting

Back in february I jotted some notes down about this topic of energy independent infrastructure as well as regenerative energy systems...I like to organize these concepts in a framework called "cloudparking". One of the thought streams that I had in this topic is something I call the "atomization of the blob" ... if you care to look at my quite bad handwriting and scribbled notes take a look here...

Sofcoast's core area of emphasis, interest and focus is "constrained users and uses" and energy is the ever present problem for constrained users and uses, therefore being able to provide energy independent infrastructure for edge / constrained users/uses is a key element of Sofcoast's long term design philosophy.

We're approaching these problems head on and with this idea of rapid mobile infrastructure (otherwise known as "cloudparking") systems to enable edge of network / infrastructure communications and monitoring systems while over time developing and incorporating the ability to exploit/harvest/convert solar and wind as well.

Cloudparking & Other musings

We had the opportunity to fly our latest design last week and test different payload suspension methods.  I'd like to give props to AJ Carr for granting us permission to fly on his property, thanks again, AJ!

Also, we'd like to shout out to the emergency management professionals who stopped by and paid us a visit. It was actually very cool to have been able to provide an "impromptu" demo for the fire fighters and emergency management folks in the area.  Very cool, indeed.

"Cloudparking" is term that I've use to describe low cost and efficient ways (low friction) of creating edge of network or "near network" computing capacities.  Part of our focus will also be on energy independent cloudparking.... more on that later...
